[~petertoth]  I opened [PR #57442|https://github.com/apache/spark/pull/57442] 
to add the regression test discussed here. It covers the bucket-transform case 
from the original reproduction and confirms the correct join result when only 
one side is shuffled. The focused test and the full 
{{KeyGroupedPartitioningSuite}} pass on master.
