Hyukjin Kwon created SPARK-61058:
------------------------------------
Summary: Take the arguments of queryName, partitionBy and
clusterBy of DataStreamWriter in the Python client as PySpark does
Key: SPARK-61058
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SPARK-61058
Project: Spark
Issue Type: Bug
Components: Connect
Affects Versions: connect-rust-4.3.0
Reporter: Hyukjin Kwon
In PySpark Connect, {{df.writeStream.queryName(queryName)}} raises
{{VALUE_NOT_NON_EMPTY_STR}} of {{queryName}} for a name that is not a non-empty
str, and {{partitionBy(*cols)}} and {{clusterBy(*cols)}} take a list or a tuple
of column names alone.
The Rust-backed Python client takes an empty name, raises a {{TypeError}} for a
name that is not a str, and raises {{TypeError}}s for a list of columns. Take
them as PySpark does.
