I did a different approach here:
https://github.com/bolkedebruin/spark-hive014-compat . It is as ugly as the
previous I would say (maybe even more), but this seems to work. Please note
that the patch contained here needs additional work to function against a
secured hive 0.14. The instructions on github will explain.
