Resolution: Not A Problem
It would be better to give this a title that reflects the change, which is to
remove use of deprecated *Hadoop* methods. However, you've added use of methods
that are only found in Hadoop 2, which breaks Hadoop 1 compatibility.
In the last week I fixed all the deprecation warnings that appear to be
fix-able given what components are supported now, so I think there aren't
changes of this form to be made now.
