Meh, probably not super important. Those scripts themselves don't need to
change very often and aren't very complex and thus a rewrite into Python isn't
a hugely worthwhile task in terms of unblocking / enabling future work. AFAIK
new scripts can already be written in Python, too. I'm going to close this as
"Won't Fix" for now in an effort to try to keep the project infra tag clean.
