It may be hard to make dependency changes late in the QA period. The new
version introduces new dependencies, e.g., org.glassfish.jaxb. I'm not sure
whether there were conflicts with other components. [~sowen] Could you compare
the dependency tree before and after this change? It seems that setting the
target to 1.7 is safer unless there are important bug fixes or missing features
in 1.x.
