I would try writing about this on the dev mailing list
(https://storm.apache.org/getting-help.html). Someone might be interested.
You may also consider maintaining an open source repo for the connector
yourself. As you have access to an environment to test it in, you are likely
better positioned to maintain it and make decisions about which changes to
accept from users. I think we would be happy to link to your project from the
Storm page.
