This might not be related, Struts2/webwork have a PrincipalAware interface that 
allows a PricipalProxy to be injected, such that information regarding role and 
its related information could be retrieved. Just in case others might be 
searching jira for this feature, its mentioned in the faqs i think, if not 
mistaken.
