Joe Germuska resolved STR-2914.
-------------------------------
Resolution: Not A Problem
Whether or not one "likes" the image input element, it is a fully supported
element of HTML 4, and the specifications there give no indication that it is
deprecated.
Anyone is free to advocate that good modern websites, built with Struts or not,
should not use <input type="image"> but as long as it is a formal part of the
specification, Struts should not drop support for it.
> Deprecate <html:image> tag, recommend using CSS for a standard submit button.
