thanks fanfrank for pointing out that solution.
I noticed that my problematic stuff (non-struts-dojo-tags) is getting evaluated
only if <sx:head /> defines the attribute parseContent:
<sx:head parseContent="true" />
But this also applies to nested <sx:div> tags in a <sx:tabbedpane>
