The "New API" was intended to make a clean separation between interfaces and
implementation. While this would be still highly valuable, there hasn't been
any progress for years. "my DI framework once I Open Source it" is Guice, btw -
for anyone who missed that :)
I think the issue is still kind of valid, but it would have to wait for being
targeted with S3, where both breaking API changes and maybe exchanging our
prerelease-Guice with current version are planned
