Hah, just read that thread.
Unfortunately, I think a lot of stuff I've done will break if you make that
change.
If the super-theme doesn't reference ${parameters.theme}, you can't make
changes to any of the head/footer templates without copying all the tags which
kind of defeats the purpose of extension...
