Lukasz Lenart commented on WW-5141:
-----------------------------------

??You mean that if I use a 2.6 nightly build, it should work on Tomcat 10???

Nope, not yet :) I just marked this story to take a look if we can implement
some bridge between previous JEE and the new one.

??Would it be helpful if we move the codebase from the javax namespace to the
jakarta namespace on our side, and that we submit a patch with those changes???

Sure, at least I will know how to prepare the change. Please remember that we
still need to support both worlds which can be tricky.

> JEE 9 breaks the JEE API by replacing javax domain by jakarta.
> Tomcat 10 implements some specifications of JEE 9.
> Struts 2.5 has some dependencies with the javax servlet API.
> Struts would require some changes to run on Tomcat 10+.
> Is there any plan to support JEE 9+ in the future?
