                    file corrupted
    Classification: Application
           Product: Word processor
           Version: OOo 3.3
          Platform: Other
        OS/Version: Windows 7
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Priority: P1
         Component: open-import
        AssignedTo: [email protected]

Recently I switched to a Windows 7 netbook and upgraded to 3.3.0 verion of OO.
I mainly use this for Writer package and save files in native ODT format.
Frequently this OK, but about one in five days the file does not open properly,
the import file filter is displayed asking me what coding has been used (e.g
Western Europe Windows, Unicode 8 etc.) I know instantly this means the file
is corrupt as no matter what format I choose the document is displayed as all
hash # characters. Please can you help fix this its driving me nuts, I'm
loosing whole days worth of work. I'm paranoid about keeping multiple versions
of the files now, luckily I have a PC as well so I can back up to that. I
thought it wasd purely a Windows 7 issue, but it has even happened on the PC
which is Windows XP. If I go back to an earlier backup I'm usually OK for a
few days then it happens again, can't and its random, so Ican't even say to
myself I won't use it on a Wednesday. LOL.
