sztejkat <[email protected]> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- CC| |[email protected] --- Comment #4 from sztejkat <[email protected]> 2011-03-24 01:30:27 --- Workaround: A). Insert 1 row 1 column table without a border. Select "do not split table". Drag bottom line to the bottom of a page. It does not cause a problem if You drag it too much down. Click inside a table. You should see a "Table" floating toolbar. Click "Center vertical" icon. You now may type text which will be centered inside a table and since table fills whole page - on a page itself. Note: You may need to right click in a table, choose "Row->Height" and un-check "Fit to size". Tables can be used to arrange text on page in the same way we used to cheat in HTML prior to CSS layouts. B) Alternatively You may use "insert->floating frame" and anchor frame to a page to move text freely around. When selecting frame and right clicking on it You will find alignment options (top, mid-line, bottom). By default frame has it's height auto-sizing so with alignment to mid-line it will grow up and down page while You edit Your text. Conclusion: Open Office went rather towards HTML+CSS style of documents - frames, frames and frames. Layers, objects and etc. Page related geometry. I think Spring-coil character do not fit this style of page description. I think this case should be closed. -- Configure bugmail: http://openoffice.org/bugzilla/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the QA contact for the bug. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Bugzilla.
