        Issue Type: DEFECT
Summary: My toolbars have to be re-opened each time I use the
                    program.
    Classification: Application
           Product: Word processor
           Version: OOo 3.2.1
          Platform: PC
        OS/Version: Windows Vista
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: enhancement
          Priority: P3
         Component: ui
        AssignedTo: [email protected]
        ReportedBy: [email protected]
         QAContact: [email protected]

I had set certain toolbars to remain in position every time I used the program.
In fact I had customized some of these toolbars also.

Nevertheless, after about six months of daily use, without re-installing or
upgrading, I noticed that they were no longer appearing as I opened the
program. I would have to open them manually, especially the TEXT OBJECT
toolbar.

However, once I opened them again, they still maintained the same customized
settings that I had given them myself.

I have tried removing OpenOffice from my computer, and then re-installing the
program. However, to my surprise all the settings--from the preferences to the
toolbar problem--were exactly the same as before. (I had gone to great lengths
to remove the program wit the installer itself, and then with the help of the
Windows Vista Control Panel utility for removing programs.) I don't know where
these mysteriously-permanent settings could possibly be hidden on my computer.

Anyway, what to do about the continually-disappearing toolbars?

I cannot remember whether I had installed some other program that might have
inadvertently affected the function of OpenOffice. Perhaps I did not notice any
relation because the issue of the toolbar was such a small and subtle one.
