The crashes appear to be preceded by, or happen concurrently with, the
appearance of a notice "Updates for extensions available." When I click on it,
if the program hasn't already crashed, it does then. This was happening
occasionally, but now it's happening with increasing frequency.
I can't make any sense of it. Hope you can!
