ODT with two date fields.

Using Ubuntu 10.04 (updated to July 1, 2011) with OpenOffice 3.2 (stock Ubuntu
installation). These are the steps:
1 - Create a Writer document
2 - Add a custom property and select "Date" as the type.
3 - Enter a date. The only acceptable values are MM/DD/YYYY or YYYY/MM/DD.
4 - Return to the document and insert the field. You are not given the option
to apply a format to the field.
5 - The field would show up empty.
This bug may be related to bug 83864. If you select the date type and enter a
value like YYYY-MM-DD or the spelled out date, the field is discarded upon
closing the Properties dialog.
