example with large table and several columns

I have a large table with many rows and this table is in a section with four
columns, so that it needs to get distributed over the columns and several
pages. Sometimes it is ok and sometimes not. In some cases there are even
several empty pages in between, sometimes the last page is not optimal filled,
and sometimes there are empty columns in between. It depends on the page
position of the table and its lengths. I attached an example. There it can
easily be seen what I mean. It seems to be arbitrarily, I at least cannot see a
pattern.
