A recent fixes of the buffer pool in SYSTEMML-2234 also revealed a hidden issue
of missing buffer pool serialization of compressed matrices because the
relatively new shallow serialization handling shadowed the exact sizes of
compressed blocks, which made them appear to fall below the buffer pool
threshold.
