Sorry for the delay. I have been a bit busy this week. I have updated the tests
to also test avro.schema.url, and the tests pass. I think this patch is ready
to be committed now.
Thanks for opening the ticket. I agree that we may want to store partition
entries in the catalog as well. From what I understand, Hive currently does
this and is how it handles this kind of schema evolution.
I'm interesting in learning more about your idea for the table to explicitly
support schema evolution. Can you elaborate on how that would work?
