[~rajesh.balamohan] [~sseth] Can you please review. Specifically the counters
used to get output/input data sizes. It would be good for debugging to see that
the output and input sizes match up on the edge (in most cases we expect to
read all the data written). However, it does not look like the input size is
matching up based on the counter currently used.
