Not sure exactly what you mean here. If these pieces are completely abstracted 
out then LocalDirAllocator related logic would only reside in the current 
implementation. A MapRFS based implementation can choose to do whatever it 
wants.
Do you mean the use of local dirs for the logical operations like spilling 
during merge etc.?
