Based on my experience its not the defaultColumnConfigs that gets cached but
the controller instance itself.
- Have made changes based on your comment: It makes the patch smaller and
searching faster. But defaultColumnConfigs would be recreated multiple times.
- Changes are not required for getLogContent, as its just a function.
