Could you update the description with a bit more details on the problem and the
proposed fix in the patch? For example, what are some scenarios where local
fetch is expected to fail but http fetch will be able to work? (I can think of
some, but it would be good to clarify.) Hope to get some time to look at the
patch in more detail before the end of the week.
