[~medb] could you post some analysis. Generally, Tez tries to stay in line with
Hadoop's version of dependencies for the minimum support hadoop version per
line. Does that apply in this case? Also, what is the cost/benefit for
upgrading?
One other thing to note is Tez doesn't support PRs to github only patch files
attached to JIRA (and submitting the patch).
