Hitesh Shah commented on TEZ-1216:
----------------------------------

[~kamrul] Code in a service is definitely more modularized ( though could be
put in a common helper and/or a separate class ) . Using a service's state
machine raises questions in terms of whether a serviceStop() will always be
called. To be more robust, a service is probably the wrong answer.

In any case, I think changes will need to match with the potential ones needed
in MR as a result of YARN-2074. [~kamrul] Would you mind working with
[~vinodkv] to come up with a workable solution?

> This JIRA is a part of TEZ-693. It includes the removal of stage directory
> when application's last attempt is done. In addition, it will check a config
> to determine whether to auto clean it or not.
