EL support in Tiles 2.0.6

Hi,

We are trying to use Tiles 2.0.6

We are not able to use JSP EL 

Some this like this is not working 

        <tiles:putAttribute name="testAttb1" 
value="${testAttb}"></tiles:putAttribute>  

Any help / pointers regarding this is appreciated.
