   Sort of. Not as well, though. The goal of the feature is to be able to 
change a routing name and cut over with no downtime.
   
   Steering can do this, if your DS is already Steering. But if you have an 
existing non-Steering DS, there's no way to. Having multiple routing names 
would let you change the FQDN on an existing standard DS without downtime.
   
   Steering also comes at a performance cost. It's an additional DNS and HTTP 
request. That's why we don't just make all DSes Steering.
   
   IMO this feature still has value. I don't think it's a priority for anyone 
at the moment. But I'd vote we still keep the Issue open, as a valuable feature 
we might want to add at some point.
