Aha!
It's not {{patch -p0}} as the naive, subversion smitten user might think, it's
{{patch -p1}}.
(This doesn't change the fact that git and me are still not on speaking terms.
Looking at each other only in distrust, if not in disgust.)
Anyway, I'm currently testing your patch on Ubuntu 11.10.
Note to self: Also test with a self-compiled {{pcre}}, placed in
{{/opt/someware}}
