ok, yes, that's why it was initially added, cause we ran out of mmap segments, 
and bad shit happens (looks like out of memory). The bad news is that this 
config also has to be accompanied by a sysctl setting, I wonder if we on 
startup should force that sysctl as well (at least on Linux) ?

I'm going to move this out to v3.5.0, and we can work more on it.
