Alan, is this something we should work on? Can you take a quick gander please.
It sounds like the request is to expose some of the pread feature into InkAPI?
Note that we still don't have a way to read/ write the HTTP cache, and perhaps
this would be part of that? I.e. why would we bother to expose the pread
functionality for that, shouldn't that just be automatic ?
