One thing: I don't like the %<chi> stuff in the conditions. We need to resolve
this in some better way, generalizing the stuff that was done for the
"expander".
Edit: Argh, yeah I really don't like this, major code duplication here between
this new stuff and the "expander" code... :/

"expander". I'll commit this as it is, but we really need to rope this in at
some point such that all log tags are supported "equally".
