If it helps, our environment was configured solely on the basis of a -socket-
layer.
That's what makes it so easy to take an application node out of rotation.
I'm sure different shops manage these types of things in different ways.
But honestly, and I'm no consultant, I almost guarantee many people have come
to the same conclusion about the same problem.
It happens a lot in the IT industry. Frankly, if it weren't for the long
hours, I'd still be -in- the IT industry. Amazing stuff.
