Leif Hedstrom created TS-3567:
---------------------------------
Summary: Need a way (tool?) to collect orphaned log files from
clients to the log collation server
Key: TS-3567
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/TS-3567
Project: Traffic Server
Issue Type: Bug
Components: Logging
Reporter: Leif Hedstrom
As it is today, once you have an orphaned log file, it just sits there, until
you manually remove it. There's also no way to replay it into the collation
server.
I think at a minimum, we should
1) Replay the log automatically when connectivity to collation server is
reestablished.
2) Remove any collected orphaned logs
In addition, I feel that orphaned logs should be rotated under the same rules /
configs as normal access / error logs.
