Sudheer Vinukonda created TS-3594:
-------------------------------------
Summary: Trafficserver proxying PURGE request when cache is turned
off
Key: TS-3594
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/TS-3594
Project: Traffic Server
Issue Type: Bug
Components: HTTP
Reporter: Sudheer Vinukonda
Trafficserver supports HTTP *PURGE* (a custom method) to delete objects from
cache on a specific cache instance. Unlike HTTP *DELETE*, PURGE shall never be
forwarded/proxy'ed upstream.
https://docs.trafficserver.apache.org/en/latest/admin/configuring-cache.en.html?highlight=purge#removing-an-object-from-the-cache
Currently, it seems that, when cache is turned off, *PURGE* is being forwarded
upstream, which is incorrect.
