We have recently encountered issues with the follow redirect feature. This is
a useful, but somewhat non-standard feature. To avoid fixing and unfixing
things, we need to have a broader consensus on the expected behavior of the
follow redirect feature if various scenarios.
Using this issue, the link bugs in this area.
