    I'm going to commit this. I spoke with @dragon512 and ultimately this is 
just a patch to deal with old yet supported operating systems (RHEL 6 and 
CentOS 6) which are not going to be updated to the newer version of the curses 
autotools macro. It's a simple change that shouldn't impact other platforms.
