Once the issue raised by Alice has been addressed, could some one please give
tips on how this change can be merged? Will you be creating a pull request

If there is something I can do as a committer please me know. I have not merged
a .diff file from JIRA before. Please point me to a description on the standard
procedure to merge such a change. Thanks.
