Steve Varnau commented on TRAFODION-2452:
-----------------------------------------

Ambari does not support upgrading the add-on service pack, but upgrading to the
next patch release of trafodion is straight forward.

1. Stop Trafodion via Ambari
2. Install the trafodion_server RPM on each node
3. Start Trafodion via Ambari

In some cases (a major or update release), it may also be required at step 2 to
install new traf_ambari RPM. This is needed if the start/stop/configure scripts
have changed.

> provide uninstall steps for ambari mpack

> Normally, there is no need to uninstall an ambari plugin (mpack), you can
> just remove the service(s) or ignore the services it provides.
> For developers and testers, however, there needs to be a simple way to remove
> the mpack in order to install a new version.
