Steve Varnau commented on TRAFODION-2663:
-----------------------------------------
Since I now need to create fix for this bulkload directory timing issue, I
question why we are changing the default value anyway. The installer is
creating a directory that hbase owns. There is nothing special about it. I
think this was originally put into installer just to make sure there was a
setting/directory for bulkload staging. Probably some early distro version did
not have one.
At this point I think we are safe removing this setting and using the default
value. In fact, the ambari-installer takes the approach of only setting that
value if it is empty, and uses the same default as HDP distro
(/apps/hbase/staging).

> Affects both py-installer and ambari-installer.
> Due to Selva's work in [TRAFODION-2306], some parameters no longer need to be
> set in HBase config. The settings like hbase.coprocessor.region.classes &
> hbase.client.scanner.timeout.period that are now set in trafodion-site.xml
> file do not need to be set in HBase service-wide config by installers.
