Alt-E sequence as indicated in product help does not produce menu drop-down
effect.
I have tried both the option and fn-option ("alt") key. I have tried various
other context key combinations, both sequential and simultaneous, also without
effect. I am assuming either:
1. this is a Mac-only problem, because otherwise it would not have made it to
the release version, or
2. there is a Mac environment hack or X11 trick that is required in order to
access menus via the keyboard. But I have looked at X11 FAQ's and have not
found any such hack or trick.
Thus the fix for this problem may be a help item rather than a code fix.
