The shuffle servers do not need to store all individual shuffle result block ids, but only the number of blocks per partition and map id. An array of integers would be more compact than a Map. A shuffle from 1000 to 1000 partitions would occupy less than 4 MB memory. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
