Wilfred Spiegelenburg commented on YUNIKORN-585:

The failed state should also make sure that there are no longer any pods
runnings. Not sure if we need a failing state to handle this clean up
correctly. We need to make sure that in a failed state all pods are gone. We
should not leave any pods running or even pending.

> We need to create a Failing state for the application in the shim side as
> well, to be in sync with the core.
> Right now we will just check if the app state string is "Failing", but we
> need to create a state for this one as well for the shim side and we also
> need to revisit the actual state machine.
