Wilfred Spiegelenburg commented on YUNIKORN-165:
------------------------------------------------

> I think if we default to M = 10^6 as the default units for memory and no unit
> = 1000 millicore for vcore we should be good.

That sounds confusing. We will be asking everyone to change the config for the
vcore side but leave the memory side at the old weird base value. It would make
more sense to me to change both. Make them both consistent: 1 without a unit
always is the real integer 1, 1 byte, 1 vcore or 1 license etc.
We ask everyone to update when moving to the new version that supports quantity
suffixes to change the configs: add a *m* to all the vcore values and add a *M*
to all the memory/byte based values. Consistent changes, consistent behaviour
all in one go.

> API response fields can be returned as proper data structure rather than free
> text

> For most of the APIs, some of the fields are recorded as free text, this can
> be improved by sending them as proper data structure like map etc. This helps
> in easy consumption of the REST aPI response.
> For example:
> * Some fields from Apps API like resource, usedResource, partition can be
> returned as maps..
