Description:
The current client in the core is 1.13.1 which is about 18 months old. The
current release is 1.18 .
A large change was added in 1.14 (see
https://github.com/prometheus/client_golang/releases/tag/v1.14.0) by the
Grafana team. We need to carefully update and build. The k8shim already depends
on 1.16 due to the K8s 1.29.1 changes.
