Craig Condit commented on YUNIKORN-2399:
----------------------------------------
The YuniKorn event system is an internal mechanism and has nothing to do with
Kubernetes events and (by extension) etcd. Disabling it will not impact
Kubernetes events at all.
In the future, please ask troubleshooting questions on slack or the mailing
lists. Jira is for bug reports or new features only.

> We're running 1.4.0 and the application event tracking system is stressing
> our etcd: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/YUNIKORN-1628
> how to turn it off? I went through the code and tried adding
> {{event.trackingEnabled: "false"}}
> to my ConfigMap but many events are still being created?
> A log message stating whether it's on or off would be useful too.
