by the Adler Planetarium.

Come one, come all to see the Physics Van!!
Saturday and Sunday, November 17 and 18, 2001
The Physics Van is a traveling science show for especially for kids &
families. By performing and explaining exciting physics demonstrations,
the Physics Van shows audiences that science is fun and worthwhile for
people who wonder about why the world acts the way it does. They
challenge kids' mental picture of what kind of people scientists are. As
long as children want to learn and have fun, there's a world of physics
waiting to be discovered!
The UIUC Physics Van will be performing in the Universe Theater at the
Adler Planetarium & Astronomy Museum on November 17 and 18, 2001.
* Tickets to performances will be issued at the box office on the day of
the performances on a first-come, first-served basis. If you have a group
of 15 people or more, please contact our Group Sales department at
312-294-0361 or 312-294-0364 for group admission and sky show rates.
* Each program will be approximately 30 minutes in length.
* All ages are welcome to attend the performances, though some physics
concepts may be more suitable for children ages 6 and up.
* The performances are free with paid museum admission ($5.00 adults,
$4.00 children 4-17 and seniors).
* Between performances, Physics Van students will be in the Adler exhibit
galleries performing various demonstrations for visitors.

Saturday, Nov. 17 - 12:45 pm, 2:00 pm, 3:15 pm
Sunday, Nov. 18 - 11:15 am, 12:45 pm, 2:00 pm, 3:15 pm

The Zula Patrol is Coming!
Friday and Saturday, November 23 & 24, 2001
>From the far reaches of outer space, from the bright orange Planet Zula,
comes The Zula Patrol! A long time ago, Bula, an intrepid space explorer,
and his loyal space pet Gorga crash-landed on Planet Earth. Two gentle
earthlings rescued them. With their help, Bula and Gorga were soon on
their way back home to Planet Zula. This one act of caring, the kindness
of strangers, led Bula to recognize his life's mission: to help others in
need, anywhere, no matter their size, shape or color...even purple polka
dotted. To carry out his missions, Bula organized a band of merry friends:
Zeeter, Multo, Wizzy & Wigg and faithful pet Gorga. Known as The Zula
Patrol, they rush in where others fear to tread, slither, or float.
Now, the Zula Patrol is coming to take over the Adler Planetarium &
Astronomy Museum! The Adler Planetarium is the site of the worldwide
premiere of “The Zula Patrol” videos. Educational, astronomical, as well
as fun, the Zula Patrol will appeal to kids ages 8 to 80! For more Zula
