For some reason when I try to sync my IMAP mailboxes (one account), I can't
seem to have it pull the mailboxes to the correct directories.
E.g. I want INBOX to goto: ~/Mail/server/INBOX, but instead it goes to
~/Maildir.
Also, I was wondering my mailboxes are seperated like so:
INBOX.subaccount.<folder1, folder2, ..., folderN>
INBOX.subaccount1.<folder1,folder2,...,folderN>
Does that mean it will create folders like so:
~/Mail/server/subaccount/{folder1,folder2,...,folderN} (each folder is a
maildir
~/Mail/server/subaccount1/{folder1,folder2,...,folderN} (each folder is a
maildir
And will it also account for the fact that subaccount and subaccount1 are
also mailboxes
that can be opened? (e.g. there is a subaccount Maildirs in ~/Mail/server/.
I know this maybe a case of RTFM, but a lot of my problems are caused by
my confusion of how IMAP works, and how the isync colient operates with
the server 'm connecteing to (cyrus).
Here is an excerpt of my mbsyncrc file:
$ cat ~/.mbsyncrc
IMAPStore server
Host server.doesnt.exist
User username
Pass #########
CertificateFile ~/.mbsync/server_certificates.crt
UseTLSv1 yes
RequireSSL yes
MaildirStore local
Path Mail/server/
Channel local
Master :server:
Slave :local:server
Pattern % .*
Sync None
Create Slave
Expunge None
Any information would be quite helpful, thanks.
