Thanks Oswald! I had tried without quotes, with single quotes, with double quotes. I also tried escaping the space with a backslash, and, since my password also has backslashes, I also escaped those backslashes, all of this with no success. After learning from your answer that spaces should work, I made new attempts. I found that quoting with double (not with single) quotes and replacing the '\' in my password by '\\' DID work.
